Château Les Ormes Sorbet is een familiebedrijf in het hart van de appellatie Médoc, in het dorp Couquèques. 

Het is al sinds 1764 in handen van de familie Boivert. François Boivert vertegenwoordigt de negende generatie wijnmakers.

De verschillende percelen van het château liggen vlakbij de monding van de Gironde, op de beroemde kalksteenkoepel uit het Eoceen, geologisch bekend als de "Calcaire de Couquèques".

Traditionele methoden worden toegepast voor de wijnbouw, de vinificatie en duurzame landbouw. Cabernet Sauvignon is de dominante druivensoort. De blend met Merlot en Petit Verdot zorgt voor een constante finesse en elegantie, jaargang na jaargang.

"Red berries; strawberries, raspberries and cherries give the life and instant energy on the palate. Bright acidity underpins the fruit while the soft, almost chalky tannins give the texture and frame. Nicely worked, unfussy and easy to enjoy with freshness throughout. I love the slight chalky, wet stone minerality that lingers on the tongue putting you in the Médoc. A friendly wine that is great to enjoy today and will be lovely with food.
